Ellie is actually a breed recognized in Europe called English Shepherd.

This is a breed that is a comparison with 3 breeds, Austrialian Shepherd , Border Collie and Old Time Scotch Collie. So she is a herder.

Ellie does not appear to be as energetic as the Aussies we have had but does have a high intelligence similar to the Border Collie.
