Spanky was surrendered to us when his family moved into a location where he could not safely live.

He is timid around large dogs but has been living with other small animals and actively plays with them.  He loves squeeker toys and likes to snuggle. 

He was recently shaved due to matted hair but should have a beautiful coat soon which will change his appearance to look much more Shih Tzu. 

The family that surrendered him said that he was not a mixed breed although he is smaller than most Shih Tzu.  He is very small and should have a protected area to live with a fenced yard.  He has been house-trained using a doggie door and he is crate trained.  He has not been living with cats and his foster family also does not have cats, so we do not know if he is OK with them or not.  He is fine with older children and men.
