Pure Breed Maltese, Shilo was surrendered by his owner as she was in hospitalization and being moved to long-term health care and could no longer keep him.  He is super lovable, while brushing him out to get some of the tangles that had accumulated during his transition into rescue, he sat for over an hour as he was brushed.  Loved the bath too.  Snuggles every chance he gets.  True lap dog!!  He has done some barking at cats, but it appears he has strained his voice in past and a somewhat gruff sound is all that he speaks now, with a bit of howl at the end.  Cute as can be!  He does have some tenderness in his back hips, but he was forced to be outside for a few weeks during transition into rescue, so he may have arthritis.  Since he has returned to inside living, it appears to be improving.  He has had his teeth cleaned and professional groomed.
