Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Medium
Izzy's family is moving to California and cannot take her with them. Moving in with another family for health issues. She's just a laid back girl that wants to share her life with someone needing a little doggie comfort. It will take a little time for her to adjust to any new home after spending most of her life in just one, but she is such a sweet dog, it will be well worth any effort needed to help her blend into a new life.
Notes from Foster Mom: Izzy truly desires to bond with someone! She definitely prefers adults over children and seeks my lap every chance she gets. Izzy has tolerated my 5, 10 and 13-year old children but she would rather they leave her alone most of the time (unless they’re offering her a belly rub). I have two large dogs who are very well socialized, but she is quite intimidated by them anyway. I think she would be happiest as the one-and-only center of attention in her home. Some of Izzy’s favorite things: Her blankie, belly rubs, walks on her leash and going for a ride in my car. Izzy had a pretty tough transition for the first few days in our home, but she eventually adapted to the new environment and is doing well. She is a great communicator, cheerful and independent. Izzy's adoption fee is $75. More about IzzyGood with Dogs, Good with Kids Other Pictures of Izzy (click to see larger version):
