Mel was rescued from a yard after being separated from his mother.  When we picked him up after his surgery for altering, the vet said that he was purring as she administered the sleep medication and as he woke up he began to purr again.  Just picking him up, he will start to purr. 

Mel is very playful, making toys out of the simplist objects, like the flap on the clean litter box or a pop bottle cap.  He will supply hours of enjoyment.
